• Excellent quality tar road for 22km until turn right on dirt road sign posted Bwindi.

• Good but fairly narrow dirt road to Bwindi, some muddy patches (may be difficult in wet), enter Bwindi Impenetrable NP at Ndego Gate after 13km. NOTE, after 9km on dirt there is a fork, take the right, is signposted Bwindi.

• The dirt road through the park is in excellent condition as you pass through the dense forest and along the hilltops. Pass the area where certain of the gorilla walks begin, picnic site. Pass through Ruhija Gate there and the community camp is signposted to your left. Buhoma is 50km down this road which is outside the park along its northern boundary and pretty rough.
